The problem with this 2011 release is that it feels like it could have come out in 2005 and still felt a little outdated. Many of its ideas are quite generic, and much of the gameplay itself can become quite repetitive. Add in the fact that the plot is so wooden compared to the (mediocre) movie, and it is easy to see why non-fans of the Green Lantern might not enjoy the experience.
However, if you are looking for a co-op game to play through with another player and you are both DC fans then you might find enough interesting gameplay here to keep yup playing until the end. The plot itself can be spotted a mile away, but players should have a good enough time flying through the combat levels to see through the mediocre parts of the development.
Gameplay is fun at points, if a touch dated. It is the kind of game that you could probably play through in a weekend, with not enough replay worthiness to keep you coming back to it in the future. Definitely one for Green Lantern fans, but other DC fans might not enjoy it as much.
